One of the most famous women in Black History.

Ida B. Wells was an American investigative journalist, educator, and pioneer in the civil rights movement. Her full name was Ida Bell Wells-Barnett, and she lived from July 16, 1862 to March 25, 1931. The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People was founded by her as one of its founders (NAACP).  Wells spent her whole life fighting against bigotry and brutality as well as for the equality of African Americans, particularly women. She is possibly the most well-known Black woman in American history.
